LIVONIA CITIZENS CARING ABOUT BLACK LIVES

An Anti-Racist Community in Livonia, Michigan

This online community was established on May 30, 2020 by Livonia mom Paige Barylski following the murder of George Floyd. Her goals were to create a space for Livonians to join together to support the Black community and to organize a peaceful protest in solidarity with the modern movement for Black lives.

The protest was planned and more than 2,000 people met at the Livonia Recreation Center on Sunday, June 7 at 3 pm to stand against racism and declare the value of Black lives - especially in our own community.

Today, we have a vibrant and growing Facebook presence committed to being anti-racist in every aspect of life. Our collective efforts focus on three areas: Public Safety for All; Public Education & Engagement; and Community Building & Inclusion. Connect with Livonia Citizens Caring About Black Lives today.
